Dr Lim Baoying graduated in 2006 from the National University of Singapore School of Medicine and obtained postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine (Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine) in 2013. She joined SSMC@CGH in 2011, and is presently a Senior Staff Registrar.

Dr Lim supported event medical coverage at the Youth Olympic Games Singapore 2010, SEA Games 2015 and ASEAN Paralympic Games 2015 and was the medical director for events like ONE Fighting Championship, North Face 100 2011, and Eneloop Singapore Mountain Bike Festival 2009. She was also the Chief Medical Doctor for the Singapore contingent at the Kuala Lumpur 2017 ASEAN Para Games.

Dr Lim is active in research. Her recent research ‘Comparison of 3 electrocardiographic criteria for the detection of cardiac abnormalities in south-east Asian athletes.’ was presented at EuroPrevent in Spain, the annual congress of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology.

Dr Lim is a clinical tutor for the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine’s Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine programme. She also conducts the Introduction to Injury Rehabilitation for Medical Officers (IIRMO) Course for SAF Medical Officers and Cadets.

Dr Lim has been an invited speaker on varied topics ranging from run training, sports injury management and prevention, to woman’s health and fitness for events such as the NTUC Income Run 350, Pocari Sweat Run, YOLO Run, Changi Airport Group Annual Safety Seminar, and Health Promotion Board organized events.
